About David K:
David K sings Roy Orbison’s multi-octave range beautifully. His Roy show covers the late 50s Sun Records hits where he befriended Johnny Cash & Elvis. This show covers 60s hits like Only The Lonely, Crying, Blue Bayou and more, then leading up to Roy’s 80s resurgence hits You Got It and Traveling Wilburys Handle With Care and End of the Line. And of course his biggest hit Pretty Woman… and many more. This “Tribute Trio” switches around on instruments, David K on guitar and piano, Jim Wilson on drums, bass and guitar, and the lovely and talented Lana Davis complimenting the ballads on Viola, as well as rockin’ solos during the rockabilly. David has performed with Jeff Cook of the band Alabama, with Fergie Frederiksen of Toto, with Dr. (Matt) Fink of Prince & The Revolution, and has recorded with Joey Molland of Badfinger, original members of The Beatles Apple Records label, and with Phil Solem co-writer of “I’ll Be There For You,” the Friends TV show theme, member of The Rembrandts. Phil played bass on 5 tracks of David’s album, “Big News Cafe.” David has submitted songs to rock star legends Randy Meisner of The Eagles, Edgar Winter, Spencer Davis, Jon Anderson of Yes, Toni Braxton, Rick Danko of The Band and members of James Brown’s band.
